Free Trade Hall
1958

This 2011 release is the complete Dave Brubeck Free Trade Hall concert of 14 February 20, 1958. The first existing recording by the classic quartet with Paul Desmond, Gene Wright and Joe Morello (Wright had only joined the group the previous month). Among its many highlights are a short reading of God Save the Queen, which is their only existing recording of the tune. Often wrongly stated to be recorded 'around 20 February' the programme is dated 14 February (www.concertprogrammes.org.uk/html/sea...)
