Me and my sister were so chuffed Joy Division were playing in Altrincham. We lived in Lymm and getting back home from Manchester involved the all night 263 then a cab from Altrincham to Lymm which took us forever.

“The Check Inn is still there but is now Totties lap dancing bar with the entrance around the back of the building. They also played Bowdon Vale a Youth Club around this time.”

“totties is still open where check in was, after check in it became squires then lap dancing club which is defo still open. I used to go the under 16 disco at check in, it was packed I loved it..”
