Ticket
New Order
3rd October 1986

Ticket from New Order's gig at Malvern Winter Gardens, the night after Birmingham. Revisiting a venue they'd played as Joy Division, the band proceeded to show just why they were probably the best live act around for so much of the 1980s with a totally different set to the night before, not one song was repeated. Indeed the following night at London's Town and Country Club they played a further six songs that had not featured at either Birmingham or Malvern - how many other bands could do that at the peak of their powers?

At Malvern, we were treated to an encore jam with Happy Mondays (a nod to the encore jam they'd done at the same venue with Section 25 six years previously) - this time we were treated to an extended Sister Ray.

Setlist:

1. Love Vigilantes
2. Everything's Gone Green
3. Angel Dust
4. Blue Monday
5. Every Little Counts
6. Lonesome Tonight
7. Sub-culture
8. 586
9. Face Up
10. Age Of Consent

11. Sister Ray
