New Order
1987

Despite the $1.95 price tag, Rock Express was a music magazine given out for free at Musicland stores in the US. In this article, I suspect Rob Gretton was having a bit of fun with someone.

"New Order's Bernard Sumner got a bit carried away during a recent concert in Texas, and got his front teeth stuck in a microphone. 'He had to be taken to the hospital with the microphone still clamped between his teeth,' a spokesman said, 'but he's making a full recovery.' Meanwhile, Sumner looks ready to release a solo record for a major label. A New Order spokesman said, 'He has the material ready, and it could be quite a departure from New Order's usual sound.'"
