Poster
Alberto Y Lost Trios Paranoias, Smirks
Free Trade Hall
11th March 1978

Several different posters were produced for this performance by the Albertos, the Smirks and Devo. This one describes the Albertos as "Near Misses of the Fourth Kind", a parody of the title of the then-current hit movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind".

“the background picture is from the poster of close encounters too...
what a funny bunch!”
“I loved this band. 'Nothing works faster than Anadin except maybe soluble Dispirin,AAAANADIN'. Better than Lou Reed's Heroin any day. I remember seeing the Alberto's at UMIST, the Palace,The Squat,The Poly and with Devo. They were so funny and lovable that I used to draw Pictures of them from memory when I got home so I would'nt forget them.Sweet.”
