A letter from a Hazel Atherton Fanning to Ida Carroll, former principal of the Northern School of Music, finalising plans for Ms Carroll to give a talk at a house meeting. Carroll remained a prominent figure within Manchester and the music community throughout her life. After being born into a very musical family, she devoted the entirety of her professional career to music and music education in Manchester.
