Artefact

Photograph
Beat Science, Iron Lung
1975

Four of four (you'll be glad to know!). Honourable mention has to go to Landmark's green leather jacket - note the depth of the pocket, you couldn't put a train ticket in it! But Hey, that's stage wear! Well it would have been had Iron Lung made it that far! Still, it lived another day, see Men of 992 when Landmark guested on sax a couple or three times.

“We nearly did a gig at Altrincham Grammer School and went as far as getting tickets printed (the support was a folk band called White Nancy) Alas It never materialised. This was probably for the best in retrospect. Pete Buchanan was the catalyst for the gig. He turned out to be a bit unreliable and even went as far as losing a limb which hampered his clarinet playing no end. (it was one of the upper ones)”
