“I thought Johnny Marr worked in X Clothes which I think was off Cross St on that little street down the side of Pret A Manger butty emporium.”

“It wasn't X clothes, I worked with Johnny Mar in Aladdins Cave it was on the ground floor of the Arndale, funnily enough Mark Jordan who was in that TV series Heartbeat work there as well at about the same time”

“This guy is Tony (AKA Tojo) and he did Dj with Alan Maskel he was also in a band called Pressure he played bass. Johnny Marr (AKA Johnny X Clothes) did work in X clothes before The Smiths he was on a Granada TV show called Devils Advocate once and told the audience that he was going to be a famous guitar player one day how right he was.”

“This guy did indeed deejay with me, though I have unfortunately lost touch with him now. I was in Pressure with him as was Mark Atherton, who went on to be in the Paris Angels and his brother Steve Atherton, who was the Road Manager for the Stone Roses and I believe is now the Coral's manager.”
