“Nice artefacts Ron.

From a Manc angle Bill Nelson played on JCC's Disguise In Love album and went on to produce the Mock Turtles and the Skids, whose Stretford-born guitarist, Stuart Adamson was a massive fan of his.

Nelson also produced A Flock of Seagulls who supported him at this gig before they joined the Psychedelic Furs as big hits in America.

Theatre of Hate (later Spear of Destiny), of course, featured Wythenshawe's Billy Duffy - also to hit the bigtime in the USA with The Cult.”

“wow- i don't want to sound like an old git, but you don't get gig listings like that any more (or do you?)... altered images, au pairs, psychedelic furs... brilliant.”
