The first full performance of Berlioz's 5 hour opera "The Trojans" was given by the Hallé and the Northern School of Music as the chorus. Conducted by Maurice Handford, with special mention to Anne Pashley, Raimund Herincx, Peter Walker, Swynne Howell, Sally Le Sage, Alberto Remedios, Ann Howard, Neil McKinnon, Clifford Grant, James Gregson, Anita Valkki and Bernard Dickerson.
