“Hi Craig, thank you for the images. Is it possible for me to get higher definition images? I could come and scan myself or, if you are happy to scan and email to me I would be extremely grateful. I return, I am more than happy to share with you anything of interest in digital format, or, if you like to collect originals, I have lots of spare duplicated items such as postcards from the 1800's and early 1900's”

“The commemorative badge that you have was presented to every Besses player in 1907 by the New Zealand/Australian tour promoters, Messers J & N Tait. I have records with images of the whole tour, which lasted 18 months. Besses o' th' Barn Band sailed from Liverpool July 25th 1906. The Tour started in North America and Canada, and then continued to New Zealand with visits to Honolulu and Fiji on the way. From New Zealand the Tour moved to Australia and Tazmania. The Band arrived back in England 21st December 1907.
The Badge that you have was presented to the Besses Solo Horn Player, Walter Brearley. I can pull out lots of pictures of him along with a CV of his career with Besses”
