Artefact

Ticket
The Smiths
19th December 1983

The ticket for their gig at The Electric Ballroom in Camden.

Such was the appeal of The Smiths at the time that I travelled all the way down to London for this despite it being sold out and me not having a ticket.

This problem was resolved rather well outside the venue as someone, who didn't want to be hassled by the touts, just came up and offered me this ticket at face value. A split second later the deal was done and I was on my way.

A notable gig for the live debut of 'Barbarism Begins At Home' a whole 14 months before it eventually got released, as well as being fantastic in all other respects.

Setlist:

01. Hand In Glove
02. Still Ill
03. Barbarism Begins At Home
04. This Night Has Opened My Eyes
05. Pretty Girls Make Graves
06. You've Got Everything Now
07. What Difference Does It Make?
08. Miserable Lie
09. This Charming Man
10. Back To The Old House
11. Reel Around The Fountain
12. Handsome Devil
13. Accept Yourself
14. This Charming Man
