I used to pester Morrissey at his flat in Hale. It was his birthday (29th I think) and I took him a pressie. Two days later a little package arrived. It contained a t-shirt worn by extras in the video for 'Everyday Is Like Sunday'. And a postcard in Morrissey's spidery writing "Just to say thankyou, Ever yours, Morrissey"

I've been scanning Smiths/Morrissey stuff to loan to Salford Lads Club. A shirt, worn by Morrissey in 'The Boy With The Thorn In His Side' video hangs in their Smiths Room, on permanent loan from me.
