Flyer
Harlem Spirit, John Cooper Clarke, Foot Patrol
Band On The Wall
1st July 1987

Foot Patrol sometimes used to dance and practice their moves at the upstairs of The Russell on the weekends ;great to watch .Some girls too, I think they were called The She Devils....?Vague memory of them appearing the odd time on” “The Hitman and Her”, which we’d sometimes put on, after being out for the night. It was cheesy as, but entertaining as well, especially when you weren’t entirely corpus mentis....

“I went to see Johnny Clarke loads in the 1980s, Salford Uni, The Ritz, Band on the Wall, i think it must have been 1986 when he did a gig on his own there?, sat at the front with Alastair, JCC signed his book after the show...brilliant. Harlem Spirit also played Rochdale Football club in 1981?, i was there and they were great!”
