Out Of The Blue Studio
1985

Part of a review of Out of the Blue Studios which was somewhere up round London Rd I think....Says it started off in Hulme. Anyway thought it might be of interest. There was another studio (or was it a band ?) called Out on Blue 6...think it was a band...perhaps to do with The Blue Orchids...just confusing meself now.....This from Breakout music paper June ’85. Mentions of Pluto’s Studios where The Smiths and Chaka Khan had recently recorded, Crimson Studios etc...Mention of The Graveyard; presumably the one of "The Graveyard and Ballroom" cassette offering from A.C.R. which came in a clear yellow plastic purse thing if memory serves....
Review of Mike Leigh's ascerbic "Abigail's Party" at The Contact and "Duty Free" at The Palace; got a free ticket for an afternoon matinee and all 15+ of us in the audience were thoroughly entertained..well it was a slight step up from watching The Young Doctors during a particular bout of unemployment in the hazy days of our youth...
