Flyer
The Hacienda
1st June 1984

Hac ‘What’s On’ for May/June ’84. As with last one it crosses over but with one or two different bands listed. “Young at Heart” by The Bluebells; that was a bit of catchy, twee pop from those Scottish types; and Paul Haig, X Postcard/ Josef K. That “Heaven Sent” was a good slice of white boy funk, bit like Kane Gang...and one thing leads to another, and another, and another.....
I think King would be the closest thing to cheese I’ve spotted on the Hacienda gig roster so definitely a insightful bit of quality control was going on in the board room.
Also this flyer is noteable to me as it's one of the most dog-eared I've found in all this stuff, which is surprising, given that they've spent the last 20 odd years in a cardboard box on a concrete slab. How they weren't chomped away by meeses or turned to pulp by damp and mildew, or more probably, chucked out, is beyond me; it's a miracle I tells ya....
