Slaughter and the Dogs
The Elizabethan (Belle Vue)

A limited edition Slaughter and the Dogs live album recorded at the Elizabethan Ballroom in Belle Vue. Side 1 has six songs including dogs classics, You're a Bore, Where Have All The Boot Boys Gone and We Dont Care. Side 2 has four songs With i think, Victims of the Vampires, I'm Mad and Boston Babies standing out as the best tracks on the album, thats just my opinion though. The whole album sounds very raw and the sound quality is not of a standard you would expect from a live preformance in todays digital age. However i'm pretty sure that any body who was present at the Elizabethan for this Slaughter Gig didn't really give a stuff about sound quality. It was more about having a wild night with like minded people who were into the same kind of music scene.

“I've got a copy of this too and remember buying it at the record shop in the Underground Market (the one near the exit to Boots) - I think the title is in fact LIVE SLAUGHTER RABID DOGS - I think it's a desk recording (most probably done on a cassette and transferred to vinyl) - alongside their album and early singles ('Bootboys being a particular soundtrack for the city when it came out), it's a very nice slice of popular Manc punk...”
