The Smirks;good local band round the late '70's. The family tree links them in with The Lonesome and Penniless Cowboys, Simply Red &The Albertos,(who once upon a time branched out and had a good comedy/ sketch show on the telly round about tea time).A gig at The Free Trade Hall with Devo, The Smirks ,and The Albertos headlining was a bit of a corker.
