The debate about 'town girls' in the Union rages on.
The Saturday dance attendance figures are still not high enough.
And the Beatles are NOT coming. A small paragraph explains that Socials Sec. Rod Bishop has been in touch with the Beatles but had no luck booking them. This piece was possibly written to stave off constant requests from students to the Social Secretary for a Beatles dance night!
A fortnight later, the Independent carried a front page photo of Paul McCartney meeting a female fan at the Beatles' concert at the ABC Cinema, Ardwick.
