World's first Factory records music medium exhibition Manchester 2011

Colin Gibbins was born in Blackley Manchester in 1967, he was lucky enough to see the dawn of Punk music and later the Acid house scene.Through Colin's formative years he collated 100's of Vinyl record's and in 1991 set about completing the Factory records Music discography as set out in a booklet which came with Fact 400 in 1990.Tony Wilson became i'll with cancer and Colin and his friends wanted to try and help with an exhibition at the time for the Christie charity but could get anyone to listen to there idea.In 2010 an appeal for a missing final item Colin needed to finish his quest was written about in the Manchester Evening News and and appeal for an Exhibition location which was seen by David Foran who allowed Colin to use a space above his public house The Ducie Bridge in may 2011. The world's first Factory records exhibition in the music medium was held on the 6th-8th May 2011 for the Christie Cancer charity.
