David Jones

David Jones holds a Master of Information (Archives and Records Management) and Master of Arts (History) from the University of Toronto. He has published his research in the Canadian Journal of History and contributed articles to the Routledge Online Encyclopedia of Modernism. In May 2019, he attended the 38th meeting of the Standing Committee for Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland as a student observer accompanying representatives from the Canadian Federation of Libraries and Archives (CFLA). In October 2019, David began work at the University of Calgary as an Audiovisual Conservation Assistant digitizing music, video, and data records from the EMI Music Canada fonds. He has performed as a musical performer, video artist and experimental musician at hundreds of events in North America, including a live collaboration with members of the Tafelmusik baroque orchestra. He accepted his current position as Project Archivist for the EMI Music Canada Fonds at the University of Calgary Archives and Special Collections in 2020.
