Dr Danny Cookney is an educator, designer and researcher currently based at Manchester’s SODA (School of Digital Arts). His transdisciplinary output has predominantly been organised around the intersections of sound and image including visual identity as it relates to and is applied to music outputs. This has included his engagement with record cover design, music video and portrait photography - mainly for musicians/producers involved in areas of electronic dance music. His published output includes, the 2017 edited volume, Music/Video: Histories, Aesthetics, Media (Bloomsbury).
