Sadly no longer with us but so glad to have had disc jockey, producer and singer with the likes of Daft Punk, Romanthony join us for a Robodisco soiree at Planet K!

Soane & Reset ‎– Herringbone / Tropical Snowstorm
PAP70 pre-masters.

Soane was somebody we met in New Zealand, where we used to DJ for a month every winter, which was just as awful as it sounds. He was some kind of Tongan royalty so he became known as "The Prince of Tonga”.

He came over to stay a few times and we all became good friends. It's a great example of how you could make friends from all over the world through the label which still gives us a thrill.

He sadly died a few years ago but is very fondly remembered.

Essa ‎– Detritus Excitus
Collection of demos of which some would make their way onto the album.

Max and Tim were the weirdos on the label (in a good way).

Brilliant music and there was always something a bit unhinged about them.

The Magneto Essa album had a gatefold sleeve with a specially commissioned artwork from Nigel Cooke. It had a picture of the band on the inside all in bed together and I think Tim was wearing a metal claw or something.
Jason Boardman, Chris Maude, Ben Ashdown
Demo Tape, 2001
Manchester's Jason Boardman, Ben Truant and Chris Maude were signed to Repap, our sister anything goes label.

It hit the Balearic button nicely!

Planet K
Backstage Pass, 2001
AAA/Backstage Pass for Robodisco at Planet K which didn't really get you access to anywhere more interesting than where everyone else had access to!

Looked pretty cool though.

Demo Tape, 2003
Arguably the definitive ’Nu Brit House” track and the template for Nu-Disco which still sounds fresh as.

Ironically we all thought that The Bridge on the other side was the one that everyone would like!

Jamie L (What We Saw) In The Burg
PAPER VINYL 08 - TEST PRESSING.

Jamie is a local lad to Hebden Bridge. He’s one of those people who tells you he’s got a load of half-finished ideas that are rubbish then you hear them and they’re all amazing.

He’s got a unique ear and way of sampling that is really unusual and his music crosses genres. Mr Scruff was really in to this. I wish he would send us some stuff to release digitally……Jamie?!
Neil Diablo, Paper Recordings, Flash Atkins
2022NQ
Flyer, 2012
Launch night of Paper Cuts Volume #1 which was a collection of the current producers & music makers that Paper was currently working with.

On the night we had special guest Cottam & Manchester mega dude Neil Diablo join Flash Atkins for the night at 2022NQ (which later became our working office for a short while!).
Paper Recordings, 2 Billion Beats, Flash Atkins
2022NQ
Ticket, 2013
Skiddle ticket (with stubb!) for the 2nd of our parties at 2022NQ which featured an early live performance from 2 Billion beats as well as DJ sets from Flash Atkins and everybody's firm fave (and honorary Mancunian) Chris Duckenfield.

Was also near enough a sell out & capacity attended event which is always a rarity when it comes to Paper parties!
Paper Recordings
Record / CD / Tape, 2016
Special edition 7" vinyl which was launched to tie in with the release of our debut documentary "Northern Disco Lights" which was a historical look at the rise & rise of electronic dance music within Norway.

This 7 featured 2 tracks used in the film, Lindstrøm's 'Closing Shot' and the incredible 'Song For Annie' by Erot.
