Flyer
The New Ardri
28th January 1993

My introduction to Manchester's underground club culture (I was a late starter...), in a Hulme Irish social club full of skinny, sweaty students dancing on tables to house and techno, while old Irish ladies sat in the corner completely non-plussed, doing their knitting and selling soft drinks. Pollen always did try that bit harder with their flyers - loving this book of matches, though they didn't tend to last very long in your pocket.

“Ardri was also a place that the City platey Niall Quinn could be found recuperating after a game
It also held events such as maddog/moondig (or similiar) on a Thurs night”
