The Deeply Vale Festival book and boxed set is well underway and should be finished by the end of the summer- any bands who played there who wish to be included in the book please e mail ozitrecords@which.net anybody with memories etc please e mail the book will also cover Rivington Pike festival and Alexandra Park Rock Against Racism festival
Deeply Vale ran from 76 to 79 four years in the valley between Rochdale and Bury and a proxy festival was also held for the next couple of years on the moors above Edgworth
Deeply Vale Its where Mark E Smith met Here and Now
its where the Drones played twice once as Rockslide once as the Drones
it was the first festival to allow punk bands in amongst the long haired 20 minute krishna guitar solos
The final pages of the book will be in colour these are black and white pages in progress
