The Carlton Club, Whalley Range

Improv jazz gig at Carlton club, Whalley Range, 2010, featuring the late John Tchicai (who played sax on albums with John Coltrane, Don Cherry, Archie Shepp, Albert Ayler, Cecil Taylor and John Lennon/ Yoko Ono). Drums from the late Tony Marsh - long time member of the London improv scene.

Think this gig was organised by Richard Harrison and David Birchall - two dedicated promoters (and musicians themselves) of improv and experimental music nights in the Manchester region.
