The Milk Monitors

The Milk Monitors were formed in 1983 taking their name from Margaret Thatchers decision to with draw school milk - they performed, rehearsed, argued and fell out in and around Stretford & Urmston the band consisted of Bill Mather Vocals & guitar Robert Ashworth Guitar Roger Plunkett Bass & Guitar with Andrew Hill on Drums - the last straw was a snowy afternoon at Beehive Mill some original recordings survived including the legendary I'm A Trainspotter, Colour Television Blues, Declaration Day....they also got a mention on The John Peel Show and then a band with the same name got a Peel session of the back of this...curses !!
