Just found my old Membership card for Pips from way back in 1979..I didnt go there that often as it wasn't strictly what I was into at the time..I did like Bowie and Roxy Music but not exclusively and was never comfortable with "dress codes" and lager...I was more into live music which was now alive with Punk bands would sooner be crushed in a crowd watching XTC,X Ray Spex,Elvis Costello etc at somewhere like Rafters than checking out what each other are wearing at a discotheque....
