"The amplified sound of acoustic guitars and drums filled the control room with a pulsating rhythm. Every other minute the musicians would stop, exchange comments and suggestions on their playing and start again. The scene was Strawberry Recording Studios, Stockport where the group Hotlegs were going through the painstaking process of putting a new record together. Stockport may seem an unlikely centre for the record industry, but the facilities offered by Strawberry make them just about the best outside London."
