A3 Poster Rocket Jam Roll, Every Friday, Midland Hotel, Burton Rd. Didsbury.

Ok Dave says; Stan Dalson and/or Dave Jones (r.i.p.) vocals, Bruce Mitchell drums, Martin Hannett bass, Jimmy Hine, bongo's, etc etc. It changed all the time, as with Pirana Bros I would play old RnB and Reggae to warm up & finish off .

Design by OK Dave
Printed by Moss Side Press.(in the cellar of the Nello James Centre, Whalley Range)

“I was in chippy in Rusholme (obviously a long time ago) and me and my girlfriend had been to a pub- might have been the Whitworth, maybe the Lord Clarence- and Greasy Bear played that gig, wherever it was- and in front of me in the chippy queue was the unmistakeable Bruce Mitchell. I asked him to sign my bag of chips and he said "Piss off." I will never forget it unfortunately.”

“Remember these nights at the Midland well, though from the late 70's. With various folks joining in, I recall a Manchester jazz trumpeter whose name escapes me, there was Vinni Reilly, Hooky I think, etc, but the person I remember most of all was outrageous Alan on vocals, who came on stage to 'Honky Tonk Women' I recall the peas and rise night, the stripper in the bin bag night etc, I always thought they were called 'The Rockin' Jam Rolls'”
