The Daze, Disjunct
Maxwell Hall, Salford University
1983

Around this time, the band I was in (Curfew) had come 2nd in The Salford Bands competition which was held at The Maxwell Hall. I think it was the bass player from The Daze who saw us and we ended up supporting them at a few gigs (one, I think at The Cypress tavern on Princess St). I took this poster off the wall at the venue as I was a bit of a Dexy's fan at the time...

“Judith Cooper writes:

My husband Austen Cooper was a guitar player with The Daze. Jeremy Santhouse wrote the lyrics. I was at the Geno Washington gig. Geno came over and spoke to me, and told me I was 'wearing great pants’.

Jeremy still lives and works in Manchester and still dabbles in music I believe. We have a copy of the single but nothing else connected to the band, which is a shame.”
