Anybody remember this? The Harpbreakers and Switchdoctor in "Battle of the Harps" at Romiley Forum on Saturday 29th April 1989. I recall that Switchdoctor went on first and played an absolutely blinding set which was met with a rather lukewarm response from the crowd. We (The Harpbreakers) then walked onstage to rapturous applause and turned in a dismal set. Very humiliating. I thought I looked quite dandy in my navy trilby, but after leaving the stage a member of the audience came up to me and said "Don't ever wear that hat again."
