The Roadhouse
23rd December 2004

i was sad to hear the roadhouse was shutting it's doors a couple of weeks back, it seemed to me that this place was always around and available and always would be.....alas that is not the case..i have played here a number of times over the years first time being in 94 when john ran the place..the club was in it's early days but straight away it was evident that it was all about the bands and the music, which is as it should be.

i did play there when there was a change of staff and fortunately thats all that changed, the place was still good ...so well done for that.

the invite came about after i asked if there was any chance of a decent support to christen another new drummer...at first they thought we was a new band and offered a new band slot (it had been a few years)....after i explained we was in our tenth year they said "oh"...sorry but we have no slots...i said ok and that was that....next week i got several invites through the post addressed to the band...i guess they must keep a record because i didn't give my address, another nice touch from a classy venue.....i did go to the crimbo party, seemed rude not to.

ps the people on the invite are the staff at the time.
