Flyer
Pop Noir
Night and Day Cafe
24th October 2006

This was the flyer for Pop Noir's first-ever show in Manchester. Although twin brothers Luke and Joe McGarry were born in Manchester and lived there as youngsters, the family alternated between the US and UK throughout their childhood and they have been based full-time in Los Angeles since their early teens. They formed Pop Noir while attending high school in California and after early success in the indie clubs of LA, played a series of date in the UK and France when they came over to play In The City in 2006. They've gone on to support Doves, The Wombats, Robyn, Sebastien Tellier and more and have put out a number of releases in the States, all of which have charted on the indie radio charts. Drummer Donald Johnson of A Certain Ratio guested on a number of US dates while recording as yet unreleased tracks with the band.
