First Chop Brewing Arm

Exterior of First Chop Brewing Arm in Salford on the night of a gig by Liam Frost and Bird To Beast. This isn't a great photo but was taken by my husband on his mobile phone when he dropped me off and shows the entrance to the venue at gig time. It took us a while to find the place - we knew it was in a railway arch but it was a bit challenging trying to find out how how you got in as the front entrance was up some secluded steps, behind a bush and across a piece of waste ground which looked like the sort of place you'd go to dump a body. On the night of the gig there was no sign or lighting outside the venue and the only indication that we were in the right area was a number of photocopied posters dotted about and a greater amount of lost looking music fans wandering around looking a bit puzzled. I was dropped off outside and my husband then shared this photo on social media, receiving a number of replies from friends asking why he had left his wife in such a dodgy looking spot and a few enquiries as to whether he had murdered me. As it was I had a really nice gig, the venue was unusual and I really liked it. I did however abandon my plans to walk back into town on my own after the gig or wait for a taxi on the side street outside the railway arch and instead I got a lift back home with a friend.
