Beat Science
Dulcimer, Chorlton
4th May 2016

after a break of something like 6 years Beat Science re-convene for a gig at the Crispy Ambulance curated Subliminal Impulse Review at Dulcimer in Chorlton...Sbilts was approached by Alan Hempsall to "get up and do a bit"one night and agreed a night...I was going to knock something together that was semi improvised on my Jack Jones (a daunting prospect to be honest) It was suggested I include the wonderful Landmark as well so he dusted off his Tenor Sax and the Cornet and added some copper tubing to make it sound sub sonic and we knocked some of the old loops and samples together to make a short set..we "rehearsed" it one afternoon...on the morning of the gig I had a great idea and contacted Graham Massey to see if he fancied adding some Bass Clarinet to it...I sent some mp3s of the stuff we were going to attempt and Graham appeared with his Bass Clarinet and a selection of effects...this took it to another level as this video will show...Thanks Graham
