The Roadhouse

This is an excellent A5 brochure to celebrate 10 years of the Roadhouse. It has a list of all (or notable?) bands to have played there and lots of funny stories, best/worst lists etc.

I saw the Libertines and White Stripes there - neither of whom REALLY did it for me. Best ever Roadhouse gig for me was a band called Mo Solid Gold with their stunning frontman called K.

Parallels with Bellrays/Skunk Anansie with a classic top drawer soul voice fronting a trad indie rock band (ex These Animal Men) with added Stax/Hammond groove. The looks, the voice, the moves, the tunes - stone cold certainties for megastardom I felt sure. But what do I know? Not to be confused with So Solid Crew who probably crowded them out - name-wise.
