The Great St Louis
Klondyke Bowls Club
25th October 2006

The second time DEFIANCE, OHIO (by then on No Idea records) came to Manchester, touring their 2nd record The Great Depression. Very likeable folks that were way more musically aware and thoughtful than a lot of the 'folk-punk' they got tied in with at the time.

LAKE ME were a fantastic two-piece from the North-East, drums (loud drums at that), guitar and harmony vocals.... musically sitting somewhere between Lungfish and Tsunami/Liquorice or 90s bands of that ilk. Saw them probably around 5 times in Manchester over the years.

THE GREAT ST LOUIS opened, good melodic punk from Bolton, although it was maybe a strange gig for them to play.

The third-to-last gig promoted under the name Helpyourself Manchester (2003-2006).

Flyer by Anthony from an old Manchester libraries book insert.
