Sometimes when you follow a band from the beginning, their big gigs can feel disappointing. This, like the earlier Roses gig at the same venue, felt like being part of a conquering army, a triumph, a celebration. The whole town swarming with the classic flower logo Ja-m-es shirts to the bemusement of locals.

We were at the front of the balcony in this magnificent Victorian venue, baking hot, and when everyone sat down to "Sit Down" it was an awesome sight and profoundly moving. It must be incredible to be in the band at such moments.
