MAGIK MARKERS from Hartford, Connecticut, living room at no.69. Didn't know who they were at the time but they seemed like super-nice people. I see they've since released records on labels like Drag City, thus I think this gig was 'kind-of-a-big-deal'.

If our house had a capacity it was well over it; had some trouble with some aggro gatecrashers during their set too, one of whom picked up a knife in the kitchen before leaving. Police showed up and didn't bat an eyelid about the band just finishing up upstairs. Everyone left pretty pronto after their set at least.
