Gig report from unfinished zine :

"Sarah had helped put Flamingo 50 on in the massive Zion Arts Centre in Hulme before, but the dire venue situation now made the basement a simple option to fill this tour date with Russ Substance, whose band had left him to tour solo. Russ sang loudly and strummed his acoustic like Billy Bragg - not a musical trend that had really caught on in shy DIY Manchester just yet. Still, once Graham had heckled him a fair bit the mood transcended any awkwardness and rose to fit the music. Flamingo 50 were brash and confident enough to pull it off anywhere and straight away, and did a good set."
