The Bridgewater Hall
20th March 2007

a piece of the african desert comes to the Bridgewater. Tinariwen played the most fantastically droney set you could imagine. infact i think the whole set- nearly two hours- was one chord. great velvet underground style guitar, an amazing tabla player aand a woman who can do the best throaty ghost impression you've ever heard. brilliant, but why do the b'water hall shut the bar so early and who were the two girls clapping out of time the whole gig?
