This is a review of New Order's second ever Manchester show at The Squat in October 1980, just five months after the suicide of Ian Curtis,. Two other Manchester bands The Durutti Column and The Renegades completed the bill.

I love that "steadily developing" bit about Vini Reilly. Makes him sound like someone who's just picked up a guitar instead of the genius he was.

Also, wasn't it amazing that New Order we're playing at the Squat after releasing two albums as JD?
