Manchester Polytechnic Mandela Building
8th December 1988

This is a ticket from the Psychic TV show at Mandela building, Polytechnic from 1988.

It was an interesting night with Genesis P-Orridge on form. The gig was filmed and later released by the band on video format.

Psychic TV played a set comprising of acid-house type sound with an unplugged set of songs at the end including a version of 'Candy Says'. A few members of the audience got their kit off and were dancing naked on the stage with the band (which was a bit of an eyesore). Think there was some dodgy films on stage as well.

The video has just been re-released on DVD as Black Joy. It was an amazing evening, and a total experience (and I say that on nothing more than lager).”
