Leeds band BROWN OWL playing upstairs at the Phoenix on the University bridge. They were a 3-piece (largely) instrumental band who played in Manchester frequently between 2002-2005 and included Mark (previously in BOB TILTON) and Jon (later of HOOKWORMS and COWTOWN). Only release was a 7" picture disc split with BILGE PUMP (members of them in the background here, so I think this was the gig with them, "C" and Devorova Chyba from the Czech Republic (?)).

Which reminds me (!) to credit them to Lee who runs Thread Recordings. Or at least he gave these prints to me with a few others from his archive.
