1969-1972 St Winifreds Choir
An old news clipping documents the choirs first album, recorded at Strawberry Studios in Stockport, Cheshire.
Singing four part harmonies and playing instruments, the choir practiced regularly in the school hall and performed at 10am mass at church on Sundays.
St Winifreds went onto become an acclaimed children's choir trained by Terry Foley and Olive Moore They record ex more albums and some singles, achieving chart success during the 1970's, including being asked to perform on an Abba song amongst other things.
