Original Artwork
The Beach Surgeon
1980

This is the front cover of a cassette I bought at a Beach Surgeon gig I think it was about 1980. It opens out to full A4 size and takes Xerox art to its limits. my scanner is playing up so I cannot upload the full thing but here is the front. the cover lists tunes, personell and instrumentation in great (hand written) detail. the tape contains such classics as "Falling , Falling Bastard Newton" (a personal favourite of mine) ,633 Squadron (an inspiration for me) and "My wife took my Watch away". Some live stuff which consists of a sort of Flanged, distorted,Backing tracks of the original tunes with the Surgeon doing a Ghastly Karaoke and Clarinet embellishment over the top. I witnessed this live several times and found it hilarious. The version of Happy Talk performed at Whitworth Fayre is an enduring memory of mine
