“I went to this venue with my friend Corrine I was working at the time part time at Littlwoods Store in Manchester Piccadilly. Met Corrine in Piccadilly Gardens and we went into the toilets which were situated underground. I needed to get changed for the gig. There was a lady attendant who sat in a glass surround and watched everybody in and out. I left my black velvet maxi coat on a bench in front of her whilst i went into the toilet to change. When I came out to fix my make up and hair the lady shouts 'hey about 5 people have tried to nick your coat' good job i was here! Rory was the first person I had seen live. I was 17 yrs old. He was brilliant and would have been worth getting my coat nicked for! My son in law not long ago discovered him and thinks its brilliant his mum in law has seen him.”

“Yep, I was at this one too. I always used to get autographs whenever I went to a gig to prove to me dad that I'd been to a gig with me spends and not to the pub. Rory was always very nice to us teen fans (I was 16 at this one) and he even used to sneak us a bottle of beer :)”
