Artefact

Photograph
Beat Science, Iron Lung
1978

This was taken on the beach at Penhryndudreath which is overlooked by the Italianate village of Portmerion used in ITC's The Prisoner. It features from left to right - Landmark, Sbilts and Arnie who took the photo with a timer and ran round to be in the shot.. We were three fifths of Iron Lung at the time but used the photo 25 years later as the cover for the 1st Beat Science CD. We took many photos and some Super 8 film which has a great bit where you see a car approach from the distance and as it passes you notice the driver has a paper bag on his head with Winston emblazoned on the front. This was dodgy to film as Arnie (the driver) was unable to see anything at all for about 1/2 a mile but luckily it was so remote he didn't hit anything.(it was acceptable at the time)
