Demo Tape
There Goes Johnnies Airforce
1989

The rather complex "gatefold" cover to Squirm,Sweat and Shout which was The Airforces 2nd Demo tape. It has lyrics printed in full and required a degree in Origami to fold back into the cassette cover. The Lyrics for side 1( if you can make them out) were largely nonsensical and made up of lines lifted from Readers Digest selected at random whilst emptying ones bowels and reassembled to sound meaningful at a later date. The Lyrics for Gasmask Sharkman were penned by one Nigel Hebblethwaite who was great at writing lyrics but unable to bring himself to perform live and was responsible for words to many of the tunes by The Men of 992. Leaving it up to you was written by John Cale and was the best tune on the tape by all accounts...We got some good reviews though in a few magazines and sold quite a few at gigs
